A CRUISE LINE is a new type of musical comedy (actually a dramedy) currently in pre-production in New York City. The 16 song score demo has been produced and the songs can be heard here. The second musical by playwright/composer Rick Knight, it is a timely story of 10 New Yorkers as they approach the weekend of the 10th anniversary of the fall of the Twin Towers.

Did You Catch the Wave at "Don't Tell Mama"?

In the first two weeks of September 2011, we presented an awesome cast of actors with great talent and presented our premiere of a showcase of the songs at "Don't Tell Mama" at 343 W. 46th Street in Manhattan. Our show opened the first day of September and we ended with an enthusiastic full house on Friday the 16th.

Help Make "Come of Age" ACL's First Music Video

The last song of Act 1, sung by the character "Amir", shows the inner turmoil and struggle of a young man coming to terms with who he is. It was written a year before the "Arab Spring" and now, nearly two years later, really resonates not only with the spirit emerging in the Middle East but in Occupy movements around the world. Join the quest to bring together resources, talent and funding to create our first YouTube video for the show, one that can touch and inspire the world that itself, is coming of age.

The show consists of a diverse cast of characters from different ethnicities, sexual orientations and generations, with each character's story representing a tile in a larger mosaic, an image that represents where many of us are as we enter into the second decade of the 21st century and how we have somehow gotten into the rut of limiting ourselves and settling for far less than our hearts' desire. What's at the heart of the tendency to "contain ourselves"? See below to read more about the characters.

We are currently seeking funders, angels, and staff, including Producer and Executive Producer for this show. Individuals who wish to create a new type of theatrical experience that combines song and story with laughter and pathos and touches people at their divine source are encouraged to contact us at containyourselfmusical@gmail.com.
